About the Role:

Help us protect the Security Cloud from the most advanced threats!  As a Software Engineer in Product Security, you will be part of a team responsible for developing and deploying security tooling and automation across our Product Security organization. Your team will ensure that our monitoring tools, automation, and telemetry scale with CrowdStrike’s massive growth and success. You will help develop processes, architecture, and frameworks allowing engineers across Product Security to contribute to tooling and automation efforts in a collaborative fashion.  You will work collaboratively with other product security teams and security engineers working to safeguard our production environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be part of a global team responsible for software engineering in Product Security, supporting cross-functional use cases across our Product Security organization
  • Design and implement software & automation tools for security use cases
  • Drive efforts to maintain utmost reliability of mission-critical monitoring tools and telemetry sources.
  • Work collaboratively with developers and engineering teams to troubleshoot production systems

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience in a Software Engineering role (event-driven systems, data ingestion pipelines, internal automation tools, internal monitoring tools)
  • Experience developing in Golang, Python, Angular, and Typescript.
  • Experience with configuration management & orchestration software such as Ansible, Chef, Salt, Puppet, etc.
  • Experience in a Product Security role (product platforms, customer facing applications). SaaS company background is a strong bonus.
  • In-depth understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containers, software cryptographic signing, and OSS dependencies
  • Broad awareness of the cybersecurity landscape including adversaries, modes of interest, and TTPs
  • Experience working with ElasticSearch and relational databases
  • Experience working with graph database solutions for building internal asset relationships
  • Experience monitoring / analyzing telemetry data from applications and infrastructure
  • Experience in Security Operations and/or Incident Response.
  • Experience with Cloud-scale, business-critical Linux environments.
  • Experience operating within the cloud, preferably Amazon Web Services.
  • A combination of confidence and independence... with the prudence to know when to ask for help from the rest of the team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field, such as CS, CIS or Engineering.

The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $110,000 - $180,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location.
