We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic payroll manager.  The ideal candidate can work independently and collaboratively with a team to manage payroll in a fast-growing, industry-leading technology company. You will report to the Sr. Payroll Manager.  Candidates for this position will have experience in domestic and foreign payroll.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day payroll operations for all areas, coordinating with payroll providers and internal teams to deliver pay accurately, timely, effectively, within all regulatory, labor and tax guidelines.
  • Supervising the payroll team and guiding office culture
  • Oversees and approves payrolls, ensuring all processes are followed for accuracy. 
  • Assist with internal and external audits, including SOX
  • Responsible for the maintenance of all payroll and time-management systems. 
  • Manage and adjust processes as needed for a growing and changing company.
  • Communicates regularly with HR and Finance to review cross-department impacts and oversees efficiencies around data flow.
  • Stays current on all payroll and tax changes to stay compliant.
  • Provide prompt, professional, and efficient customer service to employees who have questions regarding their pay, deductions, paid leave balances and other payroll-related questions.

Qualifications:

  • Strong functional Payroll knowledge and a minimum of 7 years’ experience in payroll processing multi-pay groups and tax jurisdictions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to investigate and identify system issues and problems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, including report writing skills.
  • Attention to detail, ability to carefully audit payroll records to identify errors before payment is made.
  • Knowledge of withholding tax, related tax filings, tax policy and employment regulations as they relate to payroll.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret payroll data. Understanding of multi-jurisdiction, stock transactions and deferrals.
  • Ability to handle numerous priorities in a dynamic and growing environment.
  • Skilled in developing strong working relationships internally and externally.
  • Ability to prioritize and work to tight deadlines.
  • Leadership experience in managing a team.
  • Experience using Ultimate Software (UltiPro) and UltiPro
  • Time Maintenance for payroll processing is strongly preferred!

Salary Range: $110,000 - $138,000

In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
